To coach your team towards excellence is totally different from managing your staff. Coaching your staff encourages them and provides them with opportunities to step up and lead on different levels.⁣

In the field of childcare, so many people fail to realize their ultimate potential, and that translates into a passive or aggressive abundance of:⁣
"I can't ", "I am not paid enough for this", "It's too much"⁣

2. They focus on goals and results. I meet with my leaders & managers during my Monday Morning Leadership meetings. I would ask questions, discuss our company goals, provide feedback & listen for times to congratulate them for their week of success.⁣

3. They're organized. Organization is critical to the smooth operation of a childcare business. Without it, the workplace can become chaotic & it is unlikely that goals will be met. Regular meetings can help to ensure that everyone is on the same page & that deadlines are met. And this is where your binder systems become very important in your operations.⁣

4. Good leadership. A strong team should have a leader that they trust & respect. As a childcare owner, you essentially work as the glue holding the team together & should be responsible for setting the pace, offering encouragement & motivation, & keeping all team members updated.⁣

5. They have fun. t can't be all work and no play! This can lead to burnout & a lack of productivity, so it's critical to inject some fun into the workplace. Building positive relationships with your staff can help create a more relaxed environment & reduce conflict.⁣
