All right, let’s move into today’s training. One thing I want to tell you all is that many of your records are disorganized and your paperwork is all over the place. You’re feeling a little stressed out. I can tell you right now that if the State walks into your childcare business, you’ll be running around like crazy, trying to make sure that everything is put together but guess what you’re not alone, I get it, I’ve been there. And I had to create a process for myself before the State walks into my childcare business. I’ve created a process for my team so that we will run our business every day.

One thing about me was that I had a mindset that it didn’t matter who my licensing agent was, the fact that I owned the business was all the authority that I needed to run it as such. And so I want you to take on their mindset too. I want you to have the mindset to run over a business with audits so that you are able to be prepared for whatever may happen. So many of you use outdated systems.

With outdated systems, you can’t tell what’s working and what’s not working. The reason why is that we’re not auditing to find out what’s working and what’s not working. You need what we call, a framework. It’s a step-by-step map that makes sure that systems are working well. You can conduct your own audits in your business when everything in your program is set up based on a system so systems are critical to your success.
