Goal Review 2023 The Most Powerful Accountability Process

Today, I want to talk to childcare business owners about the power of having a vision board and reviewing your goals every single year. Right now, we are in the season of reviewing our goals and creating a vision board for our childcare business. So if you’ve never created a vision board for your classrooms, and you’ve never given your staff a vision to look at so they will know it and understand why we are working towards putting systems in place then this vision board training party is for you.

This is specifically around classrooms, around your office and around the systems that you need to put in place so that you can kick it up a notch and give your people a vision. You know, there’s a Scripture that says, “Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint.”

So this Classroom Vision Board party is to help your team stay connected to your business and move it forward for this next year. I’m going to help you gain so much clarity so let’s dive in as to why reviewing is so important.

 First, when you review your goals, you get a chance to be honest with yourself and answer the number one question. The number one question that I always lay out for owners to answer and for myself is did you accomplish your goals from last year? If so, why did it happen? If not, why did it not happen? Sometimes you have to sit quietly and ask yourself the question: What did I do to make that happen? Or what happened to cause it not to happen? And you have to take personal accountability for it. 

Secondly, you have to determine whether or not you even know how to create goals down the paths. Sometimes we just write things down and say I want to do this. I want to do that. But we don’t support it with the proper, smaller goals or systems that cause you to come to pass. So one of the things that I teach is that you should never ask your staff to do something that you don’t give them the materials, the tools, the training, the coaching in order to do the same thing for you and your business. Why set goals that you won’t pursue with the right training, the right tools, right materials and the right coaching. So we set goals that we don’t support with smaller goals or systems to make it come to pass. So you have to start thinking like that and start looking at our review of what you did

Third, stop playing small. I’m sure you accomplished something. You didn’t just get up and exist. You did something whether it was to hire a staff member that you’ve been wanting to hire. Check! Congratulations girl, celebrate that. Whether you opened up multiple locations this year. Congratulations! Celebrate that. Whether it was getting rid of relationships that were no longer serving you in your newfound growth areas. Hey, you did it! Celebrate that. And whether it was you just feeling better by yourself keeping an image together and going for your goals, if you’ve done that, celebrate that. And if you got that house, that car, that dream body, whatever it was, celebrate those things because accomplishment and success is never easy. It always takes work. And so those are the things that I suggest that you do to review your greatness and to review the areas that you have to improve for the next following year and that is the foundation to help you move forward. 

Then when you get ready to prepare for your next year you take about 90 days like you’re preparing for a big year. That’s not something that you’re gonna do at one party, that’s not something you’re gonna do at one event. You literally need to take time to visualize, see support your goals and your dreams by having time to think about what it is that you want to accomplish in the next following year.

We’re gonna do some amazing things and that is how it comes to pass by taking time now to make sure that I’m moving in the right direction when the time comes. And I want you to do the same.
