Your foundational systems consist of your classroom, your office admin task, your bus runs and your kitchen task, your opening and closing task, your classroom task. Once you get some of those tasks written out, or how you want things done in your business, you are at the beginning stages of creating your organizational foundation. So let me tell you a little bit about why I say you’re on your way. There are very intricate details that you want to ensure that you support your tasks but what you want done, such as your operating procedures, and how you want these processes to be completed in your organization. You can not close out your day until you pull your drawer, complete your end-of-the-day or end-of-the-shift report, and be accountable for the money and your transactions. Well, the same concept applies to your childcare business. If you have an appropriate closeout process, an interconnected system will require everyone to report to one document in order for your childcare business to be closed out successfully that day.
