And let’s get rid of that overarching thought of not wanting to go into your own business by getting the right systems in place.
Let’s dive into the mistakes that childcare millionaires are making every single day.
Mistake #1: Not having systems. Not having systems is causing many of you to make money but not have peace. Not making as much money as your brand should make and not being able to scale seamlessly. If you have a business that takes care of 150 students, then you’re maybe at a place where you’re like, “I don’t need systems, I am already making money.” But there has to be something inside of you to let you know that you need to compete at a different level. You need to set a goal to have a business that has a manual so that anyone can walk in and take that manual to run your company for you. To get started, start with people that you want in your company and tell them to write what they are doing so that you can get on your way to eliminating the mistakes that many childcare millionaires are making by not having systems in place. Let me tell you, you can be making a millions of dollars right now, but if you have not created a standard for your company that no matter what location a person may be at, they are able to duplicate your standard, if you haven’t done that, you’re making millions but you’re also making mistakes.
Mistake #2: There are no standards in place. Whenever there is no standardization for your classrooms, how to answer your phone, how to run your office, how to work with your staff, how to do staff, how to provide raises, how to set up your kitchen, how to do your orders, etc. If you don’t have a standard for how those things are done, then 9 out of 10, when you hire someone, they go in and they do what they want to do. They close your business the way they want to close them. And if you’re not happy with what you see, don’t be mad at them, because more than likely, it’s because there’s no standard. There should be a standard for how to open your classrooms and as well as close them down.
Mistake #3: Lack of accountability. I teach that you need an all-in-one system. See, many of you are enjoying Youtube, Gmail, Google, etc. You enjoy these platforms because they give you loads of information, but you have to understand that one of the biggest mistakes is thinking that you can run a business off of what’s free. There are no luxuries in operating without separating, without systems. Systems are one of the most overlooked luxuries in the world because people think that because they started without systems, they can continue to grow without systems and honestly cannot grow what you cannot put a standard to. Without having a standard, you lack accountability. And when you lack accountability, things don’t get done, you don’t evolve, you don’t shift, you don’t change, and you don’t grow as a CEO. Yes, you may have the cars and the house, but that’s just one sign of growth. I’m talking about personal growth and development being the CEO that leads your company, and your company is managed by the people that you lead. That’s what I’m talking about becoming. So if you are finding yourself on what of these three options and you know you need to improve them in your company, I want to encourage you to sign up for our free webinar.
